Clay Wheel Throwing – Pumpkins

Fall is coming to the pottery wheel! 🎃

Join us for one of our favorite seasonal wheel classes and create your very own handmade clay pumpkin from start to finish. You’ll begin with two pounds of clay on the pottery wheel, where your instructor will guide you through centering, shaping, and throwing your pumpkin form. Then you’ll add the finishing details, including those classic pumpkin ridges and a hand-shaped stem that gives each pumpkin its own personality.

No pottery wheel experience is necessary! This class is beginner-friendly and your instructor will walk you through the process step by step.

Your finished pumpkin will stay with us to dry completely before its first kiln firing. This process can take up to two weeks, and we’ll contact you as soon as it’s ready.

Then comes the color! Return to the studio anytime during regular business hours to paint and glaze your pumpkin in whatever style fits your fall decor. Classic orange, soft neutrals, spooky Halloween colors, whimsical patterns… it’s entirely up to you. Your return painting visit and glaze are included at no additional charge, and no reservation is required.

After you’ve painted your pumpkin, we’ll fire it one more time to give it that beautiful ceramic finish. Then it’s ready to head home and become part of your fall or Halloween decor for years to come.

Please arrive on time. Because this is a guided pottery wheel class with limited instruction time, participants arriving **15 minutes or more after the scheduled start time will not be able to join the class and refunds cannot be provided.
