Highland Cow Jar – Clay Hand-Building Workshop

Get your hands muddy and create an adorable Highland Cow Jar from clay!

In this instructor-led hand-building workshop, you’ll learn step-by-step how to transform clay into your own shaggy Highland cow, complete with textured hair, horns, ears, sweet little hooves, and a removable lid. Add your own personality with details like flowers, markings, and textures to make your cow completely unique.

No clay experience is necessary! We’ll guide you through the hand-building techniques needed to create your cow from start to finish.

Your class includes:

• Instructor-led clay hand-building workshop
• Clay and all supplies needed to create your Highland Cow Jar
• First kiln firing
• Return visit to paint your finished piece
• Glazes and second kiln firing

Come create a Highland cow that’s almost too cute to contain things. Almost.

After your piece is created, we’ll carefully dry and fire it in our kiln. In about 2 weeks, you’ll return to glaze (paint) your piece with your choice of colors. Once glazed, your piece will be fired again and ready for pickup about 10 days later. We will text when ready for painting.
