Wine & Wheel Clay Wheel-Throwing Night (Adults BYOB)

Join us for a fun and relaxed Wine & Wheel clay throwing experience at Burst of Butterflies! This adults-only experience is perfect for date night, a night out with friends, or anyone who wants to try the pottery wheel.

Many guests come back again and again to build their skills while enjoying a relaxing creative night out.

This class is open to both beginners and returning students, so whether you’re trying the wheel for the first time or coming back to continue developing your skills, you’ll feel right at home.

Beginners will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including how to center clay and shape it into forms like bowls and cylinders. Our instructors guide you step-by-step so you can experience the magic of creating something from clay.

Returning students are welcome to continue practicing and refining their technique while receiving additional guidance from our instructors.

Feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage (wine or beer) to enjoy while you create. Many guests make this a recurring night out as they build their pottery skills.

During class, you may create several pieces depending on your pace (most guests make 2–3 pieces).

Pieces will dry and then be kiln fired. Once they are ready (usually about 14 days), you’ll return to the studio to glaze your favorite pieces with ceramic glazes during our regular open studio hours.

Finished pieces are $20 each and this price includes:
• clay (1.5 lbs per piece)
• trimming
• bisque kiln firing
• glaze paints
• final glaze firing

✨ Many guests return again and again as they improve their wheel throwing skills.

Adults only (21+ recommended).
Beer and wine may be brought in if desired.

Please arrive on time. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be able to join due to the instructional portion of the class.
