Lucas is a founding member of Burst of Butterflies and a highly skilled clay artist with a deep love for teaching the pottery wheel. While his day-to-day focus has shifted to college and his career as a financial advisor, he continues to guide and mentor our team and occasionally teaches wheel classes in the studio.

Lucas has been working with clay for over nine years and is known for his thoughtful, technical approach to wheel throwing and instruction. He leads our internal Wheel Instructor Boot Camp, helping train and support new instructors and ensuring a consistent, high-quality teaching experience across the studio. Lucas believes that learning happens through experimentation and persistence, often reminding students that failure is one of the greatest teachers. His calm guidance, depth of knowledge, and quick wit continue to shape how clay is taught at Burst of Butterflies.
